The US Federation of Arena Soccer new investor group announces the return of the US Arena Soccer Open Cup

Chicago, IL July 3, 2019 - The US Federation of Arena Soccer (AAS567) Executive VP Dr. Sev Hrywnak is excited to announce the return of the US Arena Soccer Open Cup after a 5 year absence from the sport of Arena Soccer.

The tournament was played for the first time in 2008 and last played in 2014 with the Chicago Mustangs winning the last edition of the event with an undefeated season that culminated with winning the PASL and Open Cup titles.

"The AAS567 and Grand Partners have created a new corporation to foster the expansion of AAS567 with additional staffing and capital." states AAS567 President Kevin Milliken. The US Arena Soccer Open Cup is the first competition launched by the new partnership.

"The Arena Soccer landscape has been missing a National Championship for everyone, since we won in 2014. I am excited to be part of bringing this event back to our sport." states Mustangs owner and Executive VP Armando Gamboa.

For the first time the US Arena Soccer Open Cup will have a women's division. The event will also be offering cash prize money for the champions and finalists for the first time in its history. The AAS567 has divided the US into eight regions: Northwest, Southwest, Rocky Mountains, South Central, Midwest, Great Lakes, Northeast and the Southeast.Local qualifiers will begin as early as August 17th and run until September 29th. Regional games and events will be played in October with the Championships ending by November 10th.
