9/2/23 - On Tuesday, the Dream Through Soccer Foundation, Prolifick, and Franck Tayou unveiled the first ever Kings Cup 6v6 Indoor Soccer Tournament. On September 3, twelve teams will compete in an all-day tournament for the chance to win a $50,000 cash prize.
The tournament will be held at the Scheu Family YMCA in Upland, California. Tournament proceeds will go toward a new YMCA Mentorship Program that will empower youths to utilize facilities, prioritize healthy living, participate in professional development workshops, and follow their dreams.
Tickets will be available ranging from $5 for fans 10 and under, to $40 for the full VIP experience.
The Kings Cup will offer exposure for amateur players looking to make an impression. One amateur player selected as the Most Prolifick Player, will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Major Arena Soccer League Pro Combine October 19-22 in Utica, New York.
For a $5,000 entry fee, each team is guaranteed at least three games, and a shot at the $50,000 grand prize. The elite field will feature both professional men's and women's players, and top flite amateurs.
"Together, we can make a difference," said Franck Tayou, a four-time indoor soccer league Most Valuable Player and a current member of the MASL's Empire Strykers. "Together, we can impact the youth.
